Give children a quality education

To the editor:
Growing up in the area, I attended the North Branch Schools from kindergarten until the time that I graduated. Looking back, Iím not sure I appreciated all that I had. My teachers were all wonderful, my classrooms conducive to learning and I was given so many opportunities to find where my interests and talents lay by participating in extracurricular activities.
Now, however, it scares me to think that my children might not have what I had growing up. If our school referendum does not pass this fall, there will be consequences.
We already know that class sizes will go up. We know positions will be cut. We know there isnít going to be all of the after school activities that there are now. I shudder to even think about the possibility of this happening.
My parents and others in the community made sure we had schools and programs that were truly great. Please join me in voting YES on Nov. 5 and let our children have the quality schooling we were given when we were growing up.
