Recommending Furman for mayor

To the editor:
We recommend Theresa Furman for mayor. We have know n Theresa for the last 13 years. We lived across the alley from each other in St. Paul. She sticks up for her convictions and does not give up. She fights for the underdog.
She saw the need to have a Block Watch in our neighborhood (in St. Paul), so she contacted the police and started one. She held meetings in her home, as well as organized several block parties within the neighborhood. She is dedicated, trustworthy, as well as honest. She cannot be bought.
Here in North Branch she has gone to city council meetings for several years. When she thinks that citizens have not been notified about something that will affect them, she and some other people have spent their own money putting out flyers to let them know what could be affecting them.
She cares and wants to make a difference. We urge everyone to vote for her, as she will represent all average citizens not just those who have a vested interest.
