S.O.S. says thanks to many folks
To the editor: We would like to thank all of the North Branch School District residents and business owners who have proudly displayed yard signs, worn buttons or stickers and have given both gifts of time and money to Support Our Schools ... S.O.S. The response we have had from all of you has been overwhelmingly positive. We are thankful to all the parents, teachers, school board members, administrative staff, district employees and all of the community members who have given their time, skills and dedication to making the daily experience and success of our students a priority in their lives. The success of our students is also dependent on the support of the larger community in the North Branch area. When we make that commitment to make this a better community to live and work in, that commitment is to everyone ñ the business owners, employers, retired adults, farmers, parents and to all the children who want to learn and become responsible and contributing members of our society. On Nov. 5, we have the opportunity to exercise freedom and choose to support the future of our students. We know that it is always difficult and not an easy task to go to the voters and ask for more money. However, until changes can be made to how the state funds schools, we must vote YES to approve a building bond and operational levy for District 138. To volunteer for Support Our Schools ... S. O. S. or for a yard sign, contact us at (651) 224-0041 or check out our Web site at:www.wesupportourschools.com. Donna Hubbard North Branch Michelle Young North Branch Co-chairs, Support Our Schools ...
