First Tiger game loss a tough one

Rush City football had a disappointing open to its 2002 season Thursday, Aug. 29, when the team was beat by Norwood Young America.
Norwood joined the schedule for the Tigers this year.
Last season, Norwood won its conference and this season was expected to give the Tigers a run for the money.
The most impressive Tiger play may have been given to Kellin Sybrant, at quarterback, and Craig Bengtson for teaming up for an amazing 46 yard touchdown pass completion.
Willie Barth slipped through the Norwood defense to complete a two-yard touchdown, giving the Tigers a total 14.
Bengtson had 105 receiving yards and had the best game of his Tiger career.
Sybrant completed 140 passing yards and Dylan Lindman stood out on special teams, taking six punts a distance of 35 yards each.
ěThe players werenít ready to play the first half,î a disappointed Wendorf said.
The teamís record stands at 0-1. The next game is scheduled for Friday at 7: p.m.m at home against Aitkin.
The Tigers will travel to Hinckley-Finlayson on Sept. 13.
