Chill out

TJ Koolyís burst onto the scene in Rush City only a few weeks ago, but already, business seems to be booming.
The new sandwich shop and ice cream stop has people from all over stopping in for a good, quick bite to eat.
The subs in the shop, located right in front of the Mainstreet Market, range from cold to hot and from the always popular ham and cheese to gooey, saucy meatball.
Diners can chose white or wheat bread and a wide variety of toppings for their subs including lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, onion, several dressings and traditional condiments like ketchup and mustard.
And what sub lunch would be complete without a tasty order of hot crinkle-cut fries.
Tasty soups also are fresh made daily. Offerings like creamy chicken and wild rice took the edge off the last little bit of winter last week.
Students from Rush City High School often can be spotted at the sub shop after school filling up on sodas or ice cream and owners Glen and Traci Kuhlman know what kids of foods those students want because their own children are Rush City students..
The ice cream is one of the signature items on the menu. The Kooly Kone is vanilla soft serve with a flavored swirl that seems to magically be dispensed.
Childrenís eye light up each time they are served a Blue Goo, strawberry or orange swirly cone.
Two other ice cream novelties at TJ Koolyís are homemade ice cream bars that come in vanilla coated with chocolate or with bits of Reese's cup or Oreo mixed in.
While TJ Koolyís may not be considered by most to be a fast food joint because it doesnít offer greasy hamburgers, diners certainly will get their food fast inside.
Whether they try the hot beef sandwich or the chicken strip meal, the food is fresh, prepared to order and served with a friendly smile from a polite and helpful staff.
