Martha L. Lantz

Martha L. Lantz died Tuesday March 11 at the Margaret Parmly Residence at the age of 93.
Martha was born December 31, 1909 at North Branch to Nels and Emma Frestedt. She attended Elementary School in North Branch. On October 31, 1931 she married Wallace Lantz at her home near Almelund. She was a home maker all of her life and for approximately 15 years was supervisor of housekeeping at St. Croix Hospital. She enjoyed church activities, reading, sewing, needlecrafts, jig saw puzzles, printing and wallpapering, gardening and other artwork.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Wallace in 1983, parents Nels and Emma Frestedt, son Don, daughters Betty Lou, Ruth Ann, brothers Arvid, Walter, Lowry, Elmer, and sister Esther. She is survived by daughter Carolyn Torp, sons Gary, Delano, Dennis, 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, March 15 at the Kost Evangelical Free church with Rev. LeRoy Scheuman and Rev. Tom Mason, officiating. Music was provided by Charlotte Wilcox, Rachel Gaspar and Oliver Benson. Marthaís grandsonís served as pallbearers and her granddaughters served as honorary bearers. Interment was in the Kost Cemetery.
