Reverse referendum is dangerous
To the editor:
I want to express my gratitude to the county commissioners for their recent position to proposed reverse referendum legislation. I applaud their efforts to research this issue and discuss it at length. This is dangerous legislation that if passed has the potential to cost state taxpayers millions of dollars as legal challenges are presented questioning its constitutionality.
Our election process serves as a great system for removing elected officials who taxpayers no longer trust. we donít need legislation to do this for us. We simply need to speak out, be heard, and vote in every election.
