1,100 bunches of daffodils sold

To the editor:
About 1,100 bunches of daffodils were sold in the Chisago County area for a total of $8,552. This does not include the sales at the Fairview hospital or Tanger Outlet Center. We delivered Gifts of Hope to cancer patients through Hospice and there were many outright donations for cancer.
Business places that contributed to sponsor the event were the RiverBank, S & C Bank, Mainstreet Bank and their CEO, Grandstrand Funeral home and Chisago Press.
And we thank the newspapers for their coverage. Then there were those who sent them to the nursing homes - County Chauffeurs,Lindstrom Lions and North Branch Lioness.
A hearty thank you to all those who sold the daffodils plus the business places that sold them - all the banks, Jitterz and Chisago Drug.
As coordinator, my payoff was to have someone thank me for doing this because they are a cancer survivor. That makes it worth it all. It is our prayer that with research there will be many more survivors.
We found people very willing and happy to support this project.
