Thanks for Heartland support
To the editor:
The Chisago County Heartland Express would like to thank United Way and everyone who made a donation to the Heartland Express.
The $5,000 we received goes toward supporting our senior programs.
The programs includes transportation to senior dining sites (suggested donation of 50 cents) and out-of-county medical trips through our Volunteer Driver Program.
Without the support of United Way and the community, these programs would not be available for our seniors. The Heartland Express is a public transit system which serves all residents of Chisago and Isanti counties, Monday through Friday.
All buses are handicap accessible and there are no restrictions, everyone can ride.
