Refuge receives United Way grant

To the editor:
The Refuge Network recently received a $10,000 grant from the Greater Twin Cities United Way to provide services to victims and survivors of domestic violence in Chisago and Isanti Counties. I would like to thank United Way, its donors and all the volunteers who participated in the funding process. We are very excited and happy to be in partnership with United Way.
At a time when non-profits are facing budget cuts, we know that these cuts will affect our ability to carry out our mission to end violence in the family.
As a community, we can help to soften the effects of these cuts by continuing to support United Way and the agencies that it serves.
