National Night Out supported by business

To the editor:
We wish to thank everyone who participated in the local National Night Out festivities on Tuesday, Aug 5.
There were events in Harris, North Branch and Stacy simultaneously.
National Night Out is a program designed to help communities prevent crime, raise awareness of safety issues and enhance relationships in neighborhoods because we are more apt to keep an eye out for people we know.
Each park had live entertainment, incredible inflatables, prizes, games and give-a-ways.
The three local National Night Out activities where sponsored by the Chisago County Sheriffís and the North Branch Police Departments and endorsed by the City Councils of Harris, North Branch and Stacy. East Central Energy, Xcel Energy, Sun Dental, ECM Community Affairs Council and Faith Community Fellowship provided financial support.
Organizational support provided by community leaders, North Branch Area Community Education and North Branch area Chamber of Commerce.
Door prizes were provided by: CB Sportswear, Country Discount & Video Rental, Country Store, First National Bank ñ Stacy Office, First State Bank of Wyoming ñ Stacy Office, Harris Drywall Hanging, Lake State Federal Credit Union, North Branch Golf Course, North Country Cuts, Promotional Mailing Center, S & C Bank ñ Harris Office, Stacy ìMuniî Bar and Liquors, Stacy Hardware, Stacy Lions Club, Kaffe Stuga, Terryís Disposal, Timís Country Cupboard, and Wild Mountain Recreation.
We hope everyone had an enjoyable evening and will continue to work together to reduce crime and increase safety in our communities.
