Lila Waidelich

Lila Winnie Waidelich, 77, of Stanchfield, died Aug. 5, 2003 at home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
A memorial service was held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, Aug. 10, with Sheldon Krantz officiating. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the care of Washburn-McReavy Funeral Home.
Lila was born March 11, 1926 in Bradford Township, to Andrew and Elvira Linder. On Oct. 13. 1945 she married Earl Waidelich. For the first five years of their marriage, they lived in Minneapolis before returning to Grandy to take over the family farm.
There she spent her life as a homemaker caring for the needs of her family. Lila enjoyed cooking and will be remembered for her beef stew, rice pudding, rye bread, and pies. Lila was a very kind hearted, generous person who enjoyed visiting family and friends. Her greatest love was her God Jehovah. Lila freely used her time and energy to help others learn of Jehovah and his goodness. She was very active in the local congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Elvira (Swedeen) Linder, and brother Wilford.
Lila will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Earl, of 57 years; children Linda (Gary) Mattson of Barron, Wisc., Cynthia (Glenn) Behm of Mora, Everett Waidelich of Grandy; grandchildren, Brett, Larissa and Chad Mattson; brothers, Delorne (Janet) Linder of Swatara, Minn., Harley (Shirley) Linder of Coon Rapids, Vernon (Cheryl) Linder of Cambridge; sisters, Clarice (Arvid) Peterson, Eleanor (Tom) Englund, and Verna (Bob) Pankan, all of Isanti.
