Adding more support for libraries
To the editor:
I am a resident and a business owner in Chisago County. Please allow me to add my support and endorsement of the county plan to construct library buildings in the Lindstrom/Chisago Lakes, North Branch and Wyoming areas.
Community libraries are an essential element of the education of our communities children and facilitate citizens of all ages in expanding their knowledge and understanding of important public policy issues. I believe the availability of a local library facility has a positive impact on our communities as a whole and impacts all age levels and interests. The new community libraries will go a long way to correct the current level of community library space provided in our county.
I commend those members on the Chisago County Board of Commissioners who have sought to address this important community need. Thank you for your leadership.
