Lawrence W. Onasch

Lawrence Walter Onasch, age 88 of Stacy, died on Aug. 19, 2003 at the Innsbruck HeathCare Center in New Brighton.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 25, at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, Minn. Interment was in the Fridsberg Cemetery in East Bethel. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, Minn.
Lawrence was born on Sept. 20, 1914 in Oxford Township, Isanti County to Otto and Minnie (Egelkraut) Onasch. He attended District #43 School in Oxford Township. On May 18, 1946 he married Ethel Johnson at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Stacy, Minn. Lawrence worked as a miller at General Mills and also as a farmer. He serviced in the Army during WWII in the 145th Infantry and served in the South Pacific.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ethel and brother Clarence. He is survived by two daughters Shirley Davis and husband Patrick and Mavis Onasch; two grandchildren Timothy and Tracy Davis; sister-in-law Dorothy Onasch and special friend Irene Szymanski of St. Paul; many other relatives and friends.
