NB girls beat STMA 4-1

From Kristen Hetland, coach
North Branch started the season with a 4-1 win over St. Michael Albertville at home on Thursday Aug. 21. Dottie Graff, junior, scored 2.
ìDottie played well. She has a great foot and shot the lights out,î Coach Kristen Hetland said.
ìI am very pleased with our win,î Hetland said.
ìThe girls were very aggressive and attacked STMA. We had a lot of scoring opportunities and capitalized on 4 of them ñ which is pretty good for the first game of the season.î
Other goals were scored by returning letter winner Trissica Bye, sophomore and Heather Schwab, freshman.
It was Schwabís first varsity goal.
North Branch will play at Bloomington Kennedy on Thursday and will return home to play Rogers on Friday.
ìWe could use some more fans to support these hard working girls,î Hetland said. ìCome out and enjoy the beautiful Minnesota fall weather!
