Melvin C. Parson

Melvin Charles Parson of Mora, died on Monday, July 28, 2003 at his residence in Whited Township. He was 85 years old.
Melvin was born on June 17, 1918 in Oxford Township, Isanti County, Minnesota to Charles and Hilda Parson. He and his family lived on a farm by Stacy, Minn. In Melvinís youth, he and his father would chop wood for the country school. In the early morning, Melvin would brave the weather to get the fire started for the teachers.
During his life, Melvin lived in many different places around the area and did primarily farm work whenever and wherever it was needed.
He is survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services were held on Friday, August 1, 2003 at Salem Lutheran Church in Stacy, Minn. The Rev. Kenneth Marquardt officiated and music was provided by Mavis Tacheny. Interment was at Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Stacy.
