Thrivent makes local donations

To the editor:
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans recently contributed funds to support three projects in the North Branch area.
Operation Christmas Child, through Samaritanís Purse, received $500, which was used to help fill and deliver 600 shoe boxes with personal items for children overseas.
Anonymous Santa received $500 to help purchase toys, food and personal items for children in Chisago County.
Another $500 was spent purchasing bags of food for 26 shut-ins distributed through Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch.
Local residents contributed many volunteer hours to carry out these three projects.
