Stolen holiday lights bring dismay

To the editor:
Parents: Do you know where your children are after dark?Ý We have had Christmas lights stolen from our tree in the front yard on two occasions and now we are taking them all down to put a stop to it. We put lights on the tree as a welcome home to folks as they return home after a day of work and commuting. ÝThere were a few young people congregating on the corner of 381st and Feaski as we left for a holiday party on Friday night.Ý Are you the culprits?ÝWhat is the purpose of children wandering the neighborhoods after dark?ÝWhen we reported these thefts to the local police department, they said there is a curfew for young people.ÝApparently little thieves and vandals donít have to obey any of the rules as they disregard the rights of others.
We wish them all a Merry Christmas.
