Leonard H. Lindell

Leonard H. Lindell, 86, passed away Dec. 14, 2003 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on Sept. 13, 1917 in Rush City, Minn., the son of Helmer and Edna Lindell.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Duluth, Minn. He belonged to Vikings, Men in Mission, and he served for several years on the council. Leonard worked at the U.S. Steel Mill and he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married his wife Lillian, on Sept. 11, 1943. They moved to Jacksonville in 2001 to be near their daughter and grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lloyd and Norman Lindell.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lillian; daughter, Ann E. Baker; grandson, Stephen L. Baker, all of Jacksonville; three brothers, Wally Lindell of Hastings, Rodney Lindell of Darlington, Wisc., and Merle Lindell of Lakewood, Colo. and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Zion Lutheran Church in Duluth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 2431 W. 3rd Street, Duluth, MN.
