Wynone M. EricksonWynone (Nonie) Matheny Erickson of Rush City passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Hillcrest Health Care Center. Memorial services were held at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rush City on Dec. 15 with the Reverend Laurie O'Shea officiating. Music was provided by Jan Goebel and Rev. O'Shea. Interment was to be held at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements by the Funeral and Cremation Service of Rush City, Olson Chapel. Wynone was born April 4, 1910 at home in northeast Minneapolis. She attended Lowry Elementary and Edison High School where she met Clifford Erickson. They were married and she soon began work at the Minneapolis Public Library, a job she held for 38 years. Nonie moved to Rush City in 1991, living with her son Bob, and several years ago entered the Hillcrest Health Care Center in Rush City. She is survived by her son Robert and his wife Ruby Erickson of Rush City; grandchildren Ton and Carla Erickson of Carmel, Ind.; Jeff and Jill Erickson of Rush City; Wendy and Ron Scott of East Bethel; and Ginger Erickson of Maple Grove; ten great-grandchildren and sister-in-law June Matheny. She was preceded in death by her parents Scottie and Etta Matheny, her husband Clifford in 1966, her brothers Walter and Bill, and her sister Hazel. ©ECM Post Review |
