Second radar run race Feb. 15

The second of two snowmobile races sponsored by the Rush City Sno-Bugs is scheduled for this weekend.

Slated as the Dennis Kirk Championship Series, the race will be held at CJís Resort on Rush Lake from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Rush City Sno-Bugs will be running studded and non-stud classes with NSSR Rules on a shaved ice track.

First place winners in each class will receive a trophy and a cash prize. Second and third place winners will receive trophies.

Winners in every class are eligible for numerous drawing for hundreds of dollars in cash prizes and merchandise.

If you have kids on Kitty Cats or 120s, the Sno-Bugs are holding a special race with all kids participating receiving a trophy.

McDonald Distributing is sponsoring a Budweiser Shoot Out for the top speed of the day with a cash prize of $500 for each race day.

Forest Lake Motorsports is sponsoring a Prostick Challenge for the fastest speed of the day with a $250 prize.

The Sno-Bugs have modern electronic radar equipment that will help ensure fast runs, short lines and continued action.

The group also has an electronic readout at the end of the run so racers and spectators can get instant feedback and can view their speeds right away.

Cost is four runs for $20 and $5 for each run after the fourth.

Participants younger than 18 must have a parent sign a permission slip.
