RC boys take one win, one loss
Tiger boys hoopsters added on e loss and one win each to their respective tally columns last week after beating Onamia and losing to Braham. Rush City 66, Braham 42 The Tigers got off to a good offensive start in the Feb. 11 game at Onamia, leading after the first quarter 21-17. The Tigers continued to dominate and the second quarter showed great defensive strength as Rush City held off Onamia 19-4. The second half was similar with both teams scoring 15 in the third quarter and Rush City taking 11-6 in the fourth quarter. Leading the Tigers in scoring was Brett Dreissig with 21, followed by kellin Sybrant with 11. Kyle Mold contributed by sinking 9. Kevin Bengston took 2, Joe Prettner added 6, Eric Risland put down 5, Tim Karnick sank 4, Kris Guentzel had 2, Andrew Kaufmann put in 4 and Antione fields contributed with 2. The team had 19 assists, 17 fouls, 13 steals and a total of 33 rebounds. Braham 73, Rush City 51 If it werenít for the 27-6 lead Braham took after the end of the first quarter, this game would have been tight. Rush City played pretty evenly with Braham for the rest of the evening ending the last three quarters with scores (RC-B) of 13-11, 14-25, 18-10 respectively. Kyle Mold racked up 18 points, followed by Joe Prettner with 11, Andrew Kaufmann with 8, Brett Dreissig with 6, Kellin Sybrant with 5 and Kris Guentzel with 3. The team had 8 fouls, 32 rebounds, 14 assists and 8 steals. Rush City next hosts East Central in Tiger Territory on Feb. 24 instead of Feb. 25.
