RC girls add one more to wins

The Rush City girls basketball team added one more win to their tally sheet last week when the team creamed Ogilvie 54-22 on Ogilvieís home court.
Although the defense played impressively the entire game, head coach Stuart Lang also congratulated the team on shutting out all Ogilvie attempts in the second quarter, taking the score to an amazing 31-6 by halftime.
Britta Johnson went 3-4 in three pointers and had four rebounds, giving the Tigers 9 team points. Christine Moore sank the ball for seven points and had 6 rebounds and six assists.
Heather Grimes contributed with 8 points and Maria Kuhlman sank seven for the team.
Kuhlman also snagged four rebounds.
Mindy Scott had six points for the team, and Jess Prettner and Cara Orn both had 4 each.
Prettner dragged down three rebounds as well.
Christine Frandsen sank the only free throw shot she took.
Page Reiland, Brittany Wendorff had three points each and Meaghan OíShea had two points toward the team score.
The team took the ball away from Ogilvie 16 times had 14 assists overall and had 17 fouls against players, compared to Ogilvieís 20 fouls.
The win takes the team record to 15-5 for the season.
Playoffs begin Feb. 25 with seeding scheduled for today.
