A stellar NBACT performance
To the editor: It was another stellar performance by the North Branch Area Community Theatre. For those of you that didnít get to see it last week, please take the opportunity to see ìFiddler on the Roofî at the North Branch High School Auditorium this coming weekend. Everything from the set to the acting and music were perfect. The musical is sure to entertain as it portrays the story of a Jewish family in pre-revolutionary Russia struggling to adapt to change. You will enjoy hearing familiar songs like ìTradition,î ìMatchmaker,î ìIf I Were a Rich Manî and others. The musical and orchestra director, Florian Keller is a particularly gifted conductor. It is gratifying to see so many talented actors that live in our area, among them Stephanie Johnson, Jeff Yaw, Lindsey Larson and Jeff Grams. In addition, the leads were accomplished actors in their own right. Steve Rod who played Tevye played a similar role at Playhouse 15 last year, a theatre on which he serves on the board, and Janice Lindblom who played Golde is a well-established actress, having performed in many theatres. This is a canít miss musical. Special thanks to Pat Bjelland the director and the many local sponsors for making this production possible, contributing to the quality of life of our community.
