RC folks rallied for blood drive

To the editor:
Once again the Rush City community rallied at the call for blood donations. A successful blood drive was held Monday, Jan. 27 at the St. Johnís Lutheran Church. Without the cooperation from the community and specifically the following, this would not have been as successful.
Thanks go to the St. Johnís Lutheran Church for the use of their facilities, the 28 callers who did a fabulous job of contacting people, Calvary Lutheran Church from Rush Point for serving the two meals, all the volunteers who worked the day of the drive, the Lionís Club for the help in loading and unloading the trucks, McDonald Distributing for the beautiful sign, the many ladies who baked cookies, and last but not least, all of the donors who gave of their time to donate blood. Because of a shortage of Red Cross staff the donation time was longer than usual. We
apologize for the wait you had.
Gallon pins were received by the following: seven gallons Lyle Steltz, five gallons Kathryn McDonald and Fred Meissner, one gallon Jerry Lundberg.
