Those wonderful blood donors

To the editor:
The American Red Cross held a special Type O blood drive at the North Branch Senior Center on Jan. 7. Forty-two pints of blood were collected.
Type O blood is always needed as the demand is often higher than the supply. People with Type O blood are often referred to as ìuniversal donorsî because Type O can be transfused with persons with Type O, Type A,Type B and Type AB.
