Royalton quad meet
The day after hosting Ogilvie, Jan. 24, the Tigers traveled to Royalton to take part in a quad meet that left them with one team win and two team losses.
Head coach Kevin Jensen said he was pleased with the teamís participation and was glad to see them hold up against competition the team normally does not face.
In the Rockford match-up, the Tigers cam out with a big 59-15 win. Kimball downed Rush City 42-22 and Royalton also got a win from the Tigers, 40-21.
Adam Best, freshman 145; Richard Marohn, freshman 112; and Mike Wuorinen, junior 160; each won two of their three matches.
ěThe tougher competition gives us a good indication of how our team is compared to other section teams and where we need to be by the end of the season,î Jensen said.
He added that the team will be working especially hard this week, preparing for the Great River Conference tournament on Friday.
ěHopefully the busy schedule that our kids have been involved in the last week will prepare us.î
