Veronica M. Gilmer

Veronica Marie Gilmer, age 66 of North Branch, formerly of Pine City, died on Jan. 5, 2003 after a lengthy illness at the Green Acres Country Care Center.
Rev. Tim Bjorge officiated at the funeral on Wednesday,
Jan. 8 at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch. Interment was in Oakhill Cemetery in North Branch. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, Minn.
Veronica was born on Jan. 7, 1936 in Floodwood, Minn. to Mitchell and Rosie (Lehman) Merrier. She attended school in Minneapolis. On March 23, 1956 she married Stanley Gilmer in Millbank, SD. She worked as a homemaker. Veronicaís hobbies were her family above all else, gardening, sewing, golf and women basketball.
Veronica is preceded in death by her parents, step-brother Jim Benkowski, step-son Donnie Gilmer, step-father Tony Benkowski, parents-in-law Paul Gilmer and Fredrica Castle, infant son and infant grandson.
Veronica is survived by husband Stanley; three sons Paul of Mora, James and wife Diane of Braham, Scott and wife Jane of Braham; five daughters Lori Johnson and husband Keith of North Branch, Lisa Anderson and husband William of Victoria, Linda Dixon and husband Ronald of Cambridge, Leslie Mauny and husband Dale of South Lyon, Mich. and Jenean Gilmer of Minneapolis.
