Dale Myron Pierce
In loving memory of Dale Myron Pierce, age 72. Dale passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 5, 2003 surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with health complications. Visitation will be held at St. Gregoryís Catholic Church in North Branch on Thursday, Jan. 9 from 9-11 am. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at the church. Burial will follow at St. Johnís Catholic Cemetery in Little Canada that afternoon. Dale was born May 13, 1930 to Earl and Orcelia Pierce. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Don and wife Nina, brother-in-law Al Ledin and granddaughter Tia Pierce (daughter of Lloyd and Rachel). Dale is survived by Elaine his wife of 49 years, brothers Earl and wife Helen Pierce, Gene and wife Donna Pierce, sisters Lois and husband Dick Reiland, and Judy and husband Travis Fagan, daughter Karen and husband Myron Lawrence, sons Glenn and wife Sherri, Lloyd and wife Rachel, Loren and wife Lisa, and Randy and wife Debbie, In-laws Dorothy and Jerry Thibault, Dick and Joyce Tyler, Steve and Florence Parenteau, Ron and Sonja Belland; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren along with other relatives and many dear friends. Some of the many different contributions that Dale made included serving in the U.S. Army with 18 months in Korea. He was an active member of the V.F.W. and served as Commander of the American Legion Post #85. Dale also retired from the North Branch Fire Department after 20 years of service, drove ambulance for the community as a volunteer, and was a business owner in our area. Dale was a long time member of St. Gregoryís Church. Dale enjoyed family gatherings and would do anything for his family. Dale was an avid outdoorsmen and loved fishing and hunting, snowmobiling, and working in his wood shop. His children will cherish the handmade gifts forever.
