5-Ring Circus coming to North Branch July 14A five-ring circus is coming to North Branch July 14 for two shows: 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. There will be over 100 exotic and domestic animals. There will be performers from around the world and the biggest circus tent youíve ever seen. The 300-foot tent is longer than a football field and it takes a space equal to three football fields for the entire circus community to unfold. If you happen to see the circusís 80 vehicle caravan coming into town youíll know this is one big operation. It has been traveling America for 66 years. This circus is rated ìGî with no sensationalism, foul language or violence of any kind. Come one, come all and see ìBaby Jennieî a baby elephant already trained to perform and the star of the Carson & Barnes Circus. Baby Jennie takes over center ring, dancing, playing the tambourine, harmonica and drum. She also walks the balance beam doing an amazing turnaround along with a hind-leg and head stand. She is quite a show off and loves to be in the spotlight. Other acts at the circus will include lions, tigers and ligers in the same cage. There will be flying trapeze artists, clowns, jugglers and mammoth elephants. Carson & Barnes has the only Liberty Horse Act in the United States composed entirely of Friesian Stallions. Set up starts at dawn. Come early on the morning of the circus to see the elephants pull the big poles up in the tent (around 9 a.m.) and visit the large traveling zoo. Advance general admission tickets are now available at First National Bank, North Branch Liquor, OíFudge Deli in Tanger Outlet Center, Nelsonís Market, Lake State Federal Credit Union, Wells Fargo in Forest Lake and Northbound Liquor in Cambridge, at special prices or you can go online and get tickets at www.carsonbarnescircus.com. On circus day advance general admission tickets can be upgraded to preferred seating for an additional charge. The circus will be set up at the corner of Hwy. 95 and Falcon Ave. west of the I-35 overpass. ©ECM Post Review |
