Farmfest will highlight ag valueAmong the seed plots and equipment dealers at Farmfest 2003 will be information on value-added agriculture in Minnesota.Ý The Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI) will have value-added products and businesses on display during the 3-day farm show. This is one of the best opportunities we have to keep producers informed about what AURI is doing and what s happening in value-added agriculture as a whole, says Dan Lemke, AURI communications director.Ý AURI occupies lot 612 on the Farmfest grounds and features a display of clients showcasing their products, information about AURI resources and interactive activities.Ý Items being displayed include ag-based fertilizers, livestock nutrition products, personal care materials and food. Most producers realize that value-added opportunities are important to rural Minnesota, Lemke adds.Ý Farmfest is a good opportunity to let those people know what AURI is doing to help Minnesota react to those opportunities. Farmfest runs August 5-7 at the Gilfillan Estate near Redwood Falls. ©ECM Post Review |
