Vikings Legion baseball ends the season with close loss to Hinckley

The Vikings headed out to Chisago for a late-season double header on Wednesday, July 10. In the first game Nick Aaland took the mound for a 11-2 loss. Matt Warren cracked a double, going 2 for 3 at the plate. Eddie Meier was 2 for 3. Dominic Stahley was 1 for 2.

The vikings improved their hitting in game two with 7 hits between Eddie Meier (3 for 5), Marty Savage (2 for 4) and Matt Warren (2 for 3).

Unfortunately they improve their scoring, losing 11-2 for the second time. Eddie Meier took the loss.

North Branch wrapped up the regular season Sunday, July 20 at Princeton. Eddie Meier pitched a strong 6 1/3 innings, but the Vikings fell in a close game 8-6. Jeremy Anderson was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Matt Warren was 2 for 4. Mike Levoir was 2 for 3 and Chris Lindberg was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI.

Another close game marked the end of the season for the Vikings at home, . Nick Aaland pitched a solid 9 innings against Hinckley and mirrored his performance on the other side of the plate, going 2 for 4.

Patrick Ryan also was 500 on the day with a home run and a double. Mike Levoir was 2 for 4 also, with a run scored. The Vikings lost 6-4.
