Legion baseball loses five
June 23 Jeremy Anderson was perfect at the plate, going 5 for 5 with a homerun and 3 RBI during a close loss to Pine City. Marty Savage went 2 for 1 with an RBI and 2 bases on balls. Patrick Ryan struck a triple and a double to go 2 for 5. Anderson took the loss 13-10 to the Dragons. June 24 The Vikings suffered an error-ridden loss to Cambridge 10-2. A total of 7 errors offset strong hitting from Eddie Meier and Dominic Stahley, who each pulled in 2 hits. Matt Warren, Nick Aaland and Chris Delaney also had hits. Mike Levoir took the loss. June 26 A fast-scoring Princeton team shut out the Vikings 9-0 at home. Mike Levoir took the loss. Marty Savage was 1 for 2 with a base on balls. Jeremy Anderson and Dominic Stahley also had hits. July 6 The Vikings came back from a week-long Fourth of July break to challenge Cambridge in a double-header. Matt Warren took the loss in game one, 11-6, going 5 innings. Jeremy Anderson had another strong performance, batting 2 for 3 with a homerun and a double. Eddie Meier, Chris Delaney and Dominic Stahley all had hits. Eddie Meier pitched a strong 5 innings in game two, allowing only 2 runs. Jeremy Anderson stayed hot with another 2 for 3 showing and a homerun. Despite hits from Chris Delaney, Dominic Stahley and Rob Stahley, the Vikings werenít able to split the series and dropped the second game 9-2. Dominic Stahley took the loss.
