Donna Mae Johnson

Donna Mae Johnson, age 71, died at her home in Rush City on June 7, 2003.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, at Olson Funeral Chapel in Rush City from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 2 p.m. June 12, at the First Lutheran Church in Rush City with Reverend Laurie OíShea officiating. The soloist will be Jan Gobel and organist Doris Swanson. Casket Bearers are Courtney, Samantha Sizemore, Travis, Brett Johnson, Ronald and Lyle Goodman with the interment in the First Lutheran Cemetery of Rush City.
Donna was born May 16, 1932 in North Branch, Minn. to Alex and Gladys Norlund. She attended Rush Point School District 24 through 8th grade. She graduated from Rush City High School in 1950.
On Aug. 5, 1950 she married Allan L. Johnson at Fish Lake Lutheran Church. They lived in Rush City where they remain to the present.
Donna worked for the Rush City School District in 1968 as a paraprofessional in the elementary library. She retired after 30 years of service. Donna was very active in the Rush City First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Her interests included reading, traveling and enjoying the company of her many good friends.
She is survived by her husband; Allan of Rush City; daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene (Roger) Meixner of Colfax, Wisc., Denise Johnson of Whitwater, Wisc.; son and daughter-in-law, Brad (Maureen) Johnson of Walker, Minn.; grandchildren, Courtney, Samantha Sizemore, Travis and Brett Johnson; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Josilyn, and Ceasar Jr.
