Barney Good, 100

Barney Good, age 100, of Stacy, Minn., died on Saturday, June 14, 2003, at the Birchwood Nursing Home in Forest Lake, Minn.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 17, at the Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch, with Rev. William Messer officiating. Interment was in the Stacy Cemetery in Stacy, Minn. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, Minn.
Barney was born on April 20, 1903, the son of William Hiram and Birdie (Trotter) Good in Hamilton County, Wayne City, Ill. He was born again in 1920. He was united in marriage to Bessie Rose on Dec. 29, 1926. To this union four sons were born.
Barney lived and worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Peoria, Ill. They moved his family to Minnesota and worked in the defense plants. He helped organize the Baptist Church in Stacy and was a charter member. Barney enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.
Barney is survived by four his four sons: Owen Barney and wife Harriet of Ogilvie, Minn., Omer William and wife Beatrice, of Clear Lake, Iowa, Olen Gene and wife Helen of Stacy, Minn. and Onal Dean and wife Betty of Bruno, Minn.; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Barney was preceded in death by his parents, wife Bessie, six sisters Martha, Maude Mitchell, Ona Moore, Gertrude Denson, Osie Maulding, Nova Shell, grandson Joel Good, great-grandson Jeffery Good and great-granddaughter Heather Rose OíBrien.
