Emma SellmanEmma Anna Sellman, age 95, of Chisago City, Minn., formerly of Almelund, died June 24, 2003, at her home at Point Pleasant. Emma was born on Oct. 10, 1907 to John Lusk and Josephine (Urbanek) in the LaCrosse, Wisc. area. Emma was baptized and confirmed there. She worked for the LaCrosse Rubber Mills for a few years. She then moved to Minneapolis to work at the Fairmont Cafe. She met Paul Sellman and they were married April 26, 1930. In 1932, they moved to Almelund where she joined Immanuel Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Aid. Paul and Emma bought a store and operated it for a few years. They then bought a resort at Bass Lake and operated that for 14 years. Paul died in July of 1990. Emma is survived by two sisters: Irene Reichert of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc. and Celia Hundt of LaCrosse, Wisc.; nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by husband Paul and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27 at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Almelund, Minn., with Rev.
