Louisa G. Petersen

Louisa G. Petersen, age 92 of North BranchñAlmelund died on May 27, 2003 at the Green Acres Country Care Center in North Branch, Minn.
Louisa was born on July 10, 1910 in Franklin, Minn. to George and Emma (Bethke) Erickson. She attended high school in Hopkins and graduated in 1929. On April 4, 1932 she married Harvey C. Petersen in St. Louis Park. They moved to Almelund in 1945 where she and Harvey ran the Almelund Store until 1971. They then moved into North Branch. Harvey died on May 20, 1987.
Louisa was very active in the Almelund Immanuel Lutheran Church as well as the North Branch Senior Center.
Louisa is survived by 3 daughters Janet Erickson and husband Dennis of Red Wing, Minn.; Judy Johnson and husband Dale, Jean Fairbanks and husband Delmer both of North Branch. 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Louisa was preceded in death by husband Harvey, sister Elizabeth, brother Charles and grandson Jack Erickson.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 31, 2003 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Almelund with Rev. Brian Bergin officiating. Interment was in the Almelund Cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, Minn.
