Good luck graduates
It has been a pleasure watching you grow these past few years, your pictures and accomplishments have graced the pages of the Post Review every week. Graduates, Class of 2003, you are on your way now. Itís a mighty big world out there, bigger than North Branch, Rush City, Harris, Stacy or Almelund, thatís for sure. You have lived in a ìsmall townî society, mostly free of urban complications, although we have our own difficulties and an increasing influence from the bigger cities every day. But let us not be naive in thinking that the problems of the world are associated only with big cities. Life here is as real as youíre going to get it. And, from time to time, you will see that real life on the pages of our paper. Still, we, as caring citizens, hope you remember more than the difficulties, but all the good things you have experienced in our small communities. Where you go from here is up to you. Some of you will seek more education, others technical training, others will try to enter the job market right away. Some of you will stay close to home, others will travel far away. All of you will encounter the good and the bad that life has to offer. If you think life is easy from here on, think again. It can be good, though, if you try not to step on others as you work your way up in the world. It can be good if you are honest and hardworking. It can be good if you learn to balance work with play in just the right amounts. It can be good if you take time to really live your lives. I wish you the best wherever you go, whatever you do. But I encourage you to remember this: while you are striving for goals, pushing to get ahead, seeking your dreams, working to make your mark - remember to live each day to its fullest and not wait for it to be better tomorrow. Today is the best day you will ever have.
