Remembering a beloved friend

To the editor:
March 18, 2003 signifies a year of time passed since we lost our classmate and friend Megan Maranda Koehler.
It was on that Monday, March 18, 2002 when Megan was taken from us and from this world into a better place. ìKikiî was a nickname used by her friends and loved ones. She was always one of those people who could make you smile and she leaves memories filled with smiles, laughter, tears and love behind.
With the passing of Megan, tears and frowns, frustration and anger and feelings of confusion arose in all of us. But even in this time of great pain we cannot dwell on the hurt that comes from losing her. We need to remember that having Megan at all was a blessing.
We would like to say thank you to the people who brought Megan into this world, her parents. It was their love, guidance and strength that helped make Megan the great person she will always be. In us, we hold memories of this, and sharing them and remembering her life will help her to never be forgotten. She will be in our hearts, and our minds forever.
We lost... We love... We remember. Megan Maranda Koehler 1986-2002.
