Robbers arrested within minutes

A sharp-eyed Chisago County deputy caught sight of a vehicle described after a Saturday evening robbery in Harris and pulled over the vehicle, resulting in two arrests.
The Chisago County Sheriffís Department was called March 15 to a residence in the 43700 block of Ginger Avenue in Harris for a reported armed robbery that occurred around 5:50 p.m.
Deputies who responded took a report that two men went to the house and robbed the homeowner at gunpoint of $8,000 in cash.
Deputies got a description of the vehicle as a green Chevrolet Caprice and the description was broadcast to area police agencies.
Only a few minutes later, a Chisago County deputy stationed near Stacy on I-35 saw a car matching the description and followed it until other officers could arrive for backup. Deputies pulled over the vehicle and found a large amount of money and a semi-automatic gun inside.
Officers arrested Tylynne Lashawn Wilson, 20, of Minneapolis and Jamaal Marquie Mays, 17, of Crystal, and charged them with aggravated robbery.
A third man, later found to be a witness who had left the scene with Mays and Wilson, also had been taken into custody, but he was released with no charges after talking to police.
Investigation revealed that Wilson and Mays had been told to take a large amount of marijuana to the house to be sold, but that the men did not take the drug and instead decided to rob the resident.
The Chisago County Sheriffís Department said no charges were pending against the resident of the home.
