Salvation Army funds stay here

To the editor:
The Northern Extension of the Salvation Army, serving Chisago County, would like to give thanks to the Chisago County churches who were involved in our annual School Supply Drive and the Christmas Kettle Drive.
We would like to thank the Chisago County businesses who displayed our red kettles during the Christmas season and to the wonderful bell ringers as they gave of their time.
The generosity of Chisago County was evident as our Christmas kettles took in over $8,000.
We are also very thankful to the League of Mercy for the 325 gifts that were distributed to the local nursing homes during the Easter and Christmas seasons.
Did you know all money collected in Chisago County stays in Chisago County? Our members consist of people from local churches? All donations are tax deductible?
We are always looking for new members. If you would like more information, please call Jim Murphy at (651) 257-5094 or Pastor Tom Geselle at (651) 257-8605.
Our next meeting will be Monday evening, April 7, at 6 p.m. at the Swedish Village Restaurant in Center City.
