Wrestlers worked two years to win Onamia Open trophy

By Barbara Brown
Four Rush City High School freshman participated in the March 8 Onamia Open and brought home a big win.
MacKenzie Johnston, 152, beat three opponents to take first place in his weight class.
Richard Marohn, 112, took second place after he beat two opponent and lost in the championship round.
Adam Morris, 135, soundly beat out all three of his opponents and took first place in his class.
Matt Wuorinen, 130, secured first place as well by beating all three of the wrestlers he faced.
Not only did the individuals meet their greatest expectations for the meet, the four combined their scores in the four-man team competition for a clinch on the entire tournament.
ėThey worked hard for this,î said Todd Johnston. ėThey went last year and got second. Ever since, they had a mission to win this year and they did.î
