A message to the Governor

To the editor:
Governor Pawlenty, I just want you to know that you donít have to keep your ìno-taxî campaign pledge for me.Ý Youíll be forgiven, becauseÝI know you can only cut so deep before the state will bleed to death without added revenue.Ý And, sad to say, as has already been evident, the blood will come from the poor, elderly and frail and kids.Ý You know, those ìvictims du jour.î
Actually,ÝI can seeÝthat you are on top of the situation because youíve already created or raised 54 ìfees.îÝ
Youíve found aboutÝone-half billion bucksÝwithout raising ìtaxes.îÝ
Gee, thatís great.Ý Hey, only about four or five billion to go.Ý You rock! Ý
