NBHS adapted bowling team heads to state

For the first time the North Branch High School bowling team is participating in the State Tournament.
On Friday, May 16. they will be competing against 16 other Minnesota high school teams. The Vikings started their season the first week in March. They have been competing weekly against area schools. In the MH league Anne Vansant, junior, leads the Vikings with a bowling average of 100.
Amanda Ingberg, also a junior, falls close behind with an average of 95. The team bowls two games per week at JJís Bowl in North Branch.
On Friday, May 9 they made their last road trip to compete against St. Michael-Albertville before the state tournament.
At the state tournament the bowlers will participate in singles, doubles, and team competition.
The participants in the MH singles competition will be senior Jacob Gades, juniors Joe Schuh, Anne Vansant, Walter Determan and Amanda Ingberg; sophomores April Kelley and Josh Barney, and freshmen DJ Johnson and Hanna Ingersoll.
Ingersoll and Gades will also be on the doubles team together. Team one from the Vikings includes Determan, Johnson, Barney and Gades.
Team two will include Vansant, Schuh, Ingberg and Kelley. The Vikings are looking forward to attending the tournament for the first time and would love spectators to cheer them on.
