Senator responds to advertisement
To the editor: Well, that certainly was an interesting ad the St.Paul-based, partisan, Senate Majority Caucus ran against me in the paper last week. Itís not enough that we have to put up with outside political money paying for ads during an election year, now I guess we can expect to see that sort of thing for the next three years as well. I thought it might be helpful to write this letter and offer up a few facts on the issue. I am the chief author of a bill in the Senate which would provide funding to replace the Hwy. 95 bridge in North Branch. As a result of my efforts the bridge project was included in a bill, SF1534. When SF1534 came to the Senate floor for a pass-or-fail vote, I did not vote against that bill and thatís a matter of record. As a result of my efforts in the Senate, the Hwy 95 bridge project is included in the Senate omnibus transportation bill. I have worked on this bridge issue from the early days of my election, and I will continue to do so. We are as close to getting that bridge replaced as we have ever been. If you have any questions whatsoever, on this or any other issue, please feel free to contact me any time. Sean Nienow Senator, Dist.17 (651) 296-5419 sen.sean.nienow@senate.mn
