NB baseball drops two on the road

The North Branch baseball team suffered two losses on the road, falling 1-9 to Milaca on Wednesday and 0-3 to Pine City on Friday.
At Milaca, Jake Anderson earned the teamís only RBI scoring Dominic Stahley in the third. Anderson batted 2 for 3, also leading the team on hits.
Freshman Marty Savage made his first start for the Vikings at second base for Fridayís game visiting Pine City. The team struggled at the plate with the their only 2 hits coming from Jake Anderson and Patrick Ryan.
Pine City took 6 hits from Viking pitchers Nick Aaland and Jake Anderson to secure the 3-0 shutout.
The losses bring the Vikesí record to 2-15. The team will win up the regular season with a conference game against Chisago Lakes Thursday. Subsection quarterfinals start Tuesday, May 27.
