NB tracksters earn all-conference
Five North Branch girls track team members earned all-conference and honorable mention honors at the Rum River Conference meet last week. Sophomore Jenny Anderson took first in the 100m and 300m hurdles to earn all-conference in both events. Senior Sheena Devine earned all-conference with a second place finish in the shot put and discus. Junior Katie Hasleiet took third in the 3200m run for honorable mention honors. Seniors Rauna Dallman and Joanne Plaster also earned honorable mention; Dallman for a third place finish in the high jump and Plaster for third place in the discus. On the boys team, senior Mike Dahlke earned all-conference for first place in the triple jump. Junior Phil Olson earned all-conference for first in the discus and second in shot put. Junior Bo McClaskie took second in pole vault for all-conference honors. Earning honorable mention were the 3200m relay team of sophomore Nick Sausen, junior Mike Ferguson, Nick Ramberg and junior Sam Suparat, taking third in the event, and sophomore Korey Hutchings, taking third in the 400m dash. This week, the teams were scheduled to end the regular season with a meet at Chisago Lakes Tuesday and the North Branch Invite Thursday. Section preliminaries start next Wednesday, May 28.
