Edward Carl OehlersEdward Carl ìCaptain Edî Oehlers, age 74, of North Branch, Minn, died on May 27, 2003. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, May 30, at 10 a.m. at St. Josephís Catholic Church in Taylors Falls, Minn. Visitation is one hour before services at the church. Private family interment. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch. Ed was born on March 28, 1929 in St. Paul, Minn. to Edward and Edith (Primeau). He married Mary Jamar on Oct. 6, 1955. Ed served his country during the Korean War. Ed worked for the St. Paul Fire Department as captain from 1958 until 1982 and was captain in the Rescue Squad. He also worked for the Ramsey County Sheriff office and as a bailiff for Chisago County for 14 years. Ed is survived by his wife Mary, two sons Edward III (Tami) and children Edward IV, Genae, Billy and Shelly, and Michael (Linda); four daughters Mary Carlson (Garnice) and children Mary, Kate, Matt and Mike, Nancy Gipson and children Jenni, Jessi, Jeff and Jacob, and Amy Oehlers and child Cole, Debra Pinski (Henry) and children Henry, Tina, Lauren and Greg; two sisters Nancy Oehlers and Marilyn Matthews; two brothers Ken and bob Oehlers; many other relatives and friends. ©ECM Post Review |
