Richard P. Stromquist

Richard P. Stromquist, 75, of Pomona, Calif. died Oct. 28, 2003 at Pomona Valley Hospital.

Richard was born Nov. 23, 1927 in Hibbing, Minn. and was a resident of Pomona for 45 years.
He was a retired owner of The Brass Shoppe, Pomona, for 20 years.

He was a Navy veteran and served from 1945 to 1954.

Richard was a member of the American Legion and Alcoholics Anonymous.

He enjoyed reading books and baseball.
Richard is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Stromquist; daughter, Nancy J. Welsh of Ontario; son and daughter-in-law, James and Kaye Stromquist of Rancho Cucamonga; and his grandchildren, James and Sandy Shewmake, Julie and Jennifer Stromquist, Justine, Steven, and Thomas Shewmake; and Heather Christy.
Private committal services were at Riverside National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rancho Cucamonga Library, c/o Richard P. Stromquist, 7368 Archibald, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730.

Arlington Mortuary of Riverside was in charge of arrangements.
