Iola C. Johnson

Iola Cleoria Johnson age 86 of Cambridge, formerly of North Branch, MN died on Sept. 29, 2003 at Grandview Christian Care in Cambridge, MN.
Iola was born on May 1, 1917 to Benjamin H. and Ida M. (Sams) Peterson in Washburn, ND. She married Laird Johnson on Dec. 24, 1938 at Iolaís parentís home in Stillwater, MN. Iola worked on the family farm with her husband Laird. Iola loved to care for her lawn, and her flowers.
Iola is survived by husband Laird, 2 sons Stanley (Nancy), Clyde (Sue); daughters Gloria Anderson (Howard), Harriet Kranz (Doug); 2 brothers Stanley and Everett Peterson; 2 sisters Gladys Olson and Venila Fogerty; 8 grandchildren Denise McCoy, Carl Anderson, Rachel Vasquez, Annett Ulrich, Nichole Paladie, Brandon Johnson, Benjamin Kranz, and Luke Kranz; 7 great-grandchildren Sara Ulrich, Jordon and Katelyn Vasquez, Ashley and Anthony Paladie, Malenny and Ben Jr. Kranz. Many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, brother Dean Peterson, sister-in-law Ellen Peterson and grandson David Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Thurs., Oct. 2, at 11:00 a.m. Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch with Rev. Loren Mellum officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Land Cemetery in Marine-On-St. Croix, MN. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch, MN. Memorials preferred to Hospice or the Trinity Lutheran Church.
